Dems Fume As Texas Senate Passes Election Reform Bill Fiercely Opposed By Biden

The Texas Senate has passed an election reform bill fiercely opposed by President Biden and his Democrat party allies.

Per Fox News “the sweeping measure, known as Senate Bill 7, passed along party lines around 6 a.m. after eight hours of questioning by Democrats, who have virtually no path to stop it from becoming law. But the bill must still clear a final vote in the Texas House later Sunday in order to reach Republican Gov. Greg Abbott, who is expected to sign it.”

Rep. Hakeem Jeffries blasted the bill calling it “shameful.”

“The Texas law is shameful and Republicans clearly, in Texas and throughout the country, want to make it harder to vote and easer to steal an election,” Jeffries said. “That’s the only way I can interpret the voter suppression epidemic that we see working its way from one state, Georgia, to Arizona to Texas and all across the country.”

Jaime Harrison tweeted “.@JoeBiden called Texas Senate Bill 7 part of an assault on democracy, and he’s right: this is Jim Crow 2.0. Call your Republican senators and tell them to pass the For the People Act. If you live in Texas, call your state Representative and Senator to tell them you oppose #SB7.

Democrat lawyer Marc Elias suggested Texas as well as other states may be sued.

Elias wrote:

1. Texas
2. Kansas
3. Ohio
4. Arizona
